I refuse to tell you that this page is under construction!
Well, here it is, my homepage. "Big Whoop!" you say? Well you may be right, I really have no important reason to put up a homepage, (does anybody?), but with the amount of time I waste daily doing absolutely nothing I figured I could at least do something with my time. So here is the product of X hours of work.
So, as I just mentioned, I spend many hours daily doing absolutely nothing. So what do I do when I am doing stuff? Well, I have the bad habit of spending waaaaaaay too much time on the 'information superhighway' (can I just mention how much I HATE that term). Most of my online time is divided into 3 things: emulators, MP3's, and Anime/Manga.
Emulators are programs which cause your PC to act like a console machine such as a Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Gameboy, Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, Atari Lynx, Turbo Graphix-16, etc. (NOTE: if you see a Nintendo'64 emulator don't bother grabbing it, it's bullshit). Anyway, emulation rocks! Now you can turn your thousand dollar PC into a $40 Nintendo for free! What a deal! Ok, it sounds stupid, but the old games were the best games! Do you want to sit around and play a big, beautiful game once, or have a small, graphically-challenged (have to be politically correct) game that will make you play it over and over no matter how many times you pass it? That's the reason a dedicated number of programmers have slaved hours on end to bring emulation to the PC, and now you can get games (ROMS) for free, (though somewhat illegally), over the net. The best Nintendo emulator by far is Nesticle. What can I say? The emulator is perfect! Full joystick support, perfect colours, great sound, it IS Nintendo on your PC, and you can grab it here. You can also try #EmuROMS on IRC (EFnet) for all the latest about the emulation scene, and mabey find a ROM or two! DO NOT E-MAIL ME ABOUT OBTAINING ROMS!
MP3's also eat up a good portion of my online time, as well as a good portion of my hard drive! If you know what an MP3 is there's a good chance that you're in the same boat as I am. If you don't know what an MP3 is then I'm not going to take the time to explain it to you. Let's just say that it is a relatively new format for compressing huge amounts of audio data in CD quality. Use your imagination and your knowledge of the internet's naughty side to see the implications! In fact Rolling Stone magazine just did an article on MP3's.
Lastly is Anime and Manga. Anime (Video) and Manga (Comics) are two art forms which originated in Japan. They are highly superior to anything produced here in the US or Canada. If you don't believe me try watching an anime classic such as Akira (the first anime movie I saw) and see for yourself that animation can be a lot different than the Disney/Warner Brothers crap you were probably raised by. Anime, unlike western cartoons, is not afraid to deal with serious and mature situations such as death, sex, or pretty much anything else your sick, twisted mind can think of. Everyone in the US and Canada seems to blame television and movies for the state of society, but the fact of the matter is that anime featuring violence and death is commonplace on Japanese TV and Japan has one of the lowest crime rates on the planet! If you still think that anime is just 'cartoons' just go out and rent Akira, unless that $3.50 is really gonna bankrupt you, and see for yourself.
That's about all I have for you for now! One graphic and a lot of boring text for you to read. Pretty snazzy, huh? Most likely, you stumbled onto this page by accident and now you'll never see it again, but if you happen to come back some time in the near future I hope that I'll have much more to offer you. I'm hoping to add a page devoted strictly to Anime/Manga and now, (thanks to FortuneCity), I have 6mb of webspace to play with, to hopefully I'll get that up soon. School's out now and I have no job, (HIRE ME!), so I have a lot of spare time to work on my page, whether or not I actually get around to it is a different thing altogether though.
One last thing before I submit you to the horror of my links section. A "Hey there!" goes out to all of you #fresh-ies that may be reading this. I wouldn't want you to feel left out! :)
